Last week, after Congress passed legislation to ease the burden faced by small businesses during the COVID-19 epidemic, the Trump Administration launched the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). PPP allows small businesses to receive funds to retain their employees and keep up with day-to-day operating expenses. Already, the Small Business Administration (SBA), along with the Treasury Department, reported that 13,669 loans valued at $4.3 billion had been processed.

At the request of the Chambers of Commerce of Galveston County, I will be hosting a special telephone town hall inviting all business owners and lenders from Galveston County to join me in a discussion to answer your questions regarding new federal guidelines and programs related to the PPP and the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) Emergency Advance.
