"What I don't do . . . . A Networking Exercise for Professionals"
What makes you different from your competitors? What defines you in your workspace? What sort of client needs do you solve? Which needs do you not solve? Come to the September KNOW Seminar and be ready to complete this statement: What I don’t do is . . . . During this very interactive seminar, we will gain a new perspective on networking, solving needs, and becoming a trusted advisor.
The KNOW Seminar Series is an initiative of the Business Development Committee of the League City Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Christopher Maginnis has been called “a connector,” “a networking master,” and a “creative networker.” His career spans decades. His mentors include the physicist that pioneered optics for the first Xerox copy machines, the inventor of bar code optical scanners, the author of “Better than Good,” and the educator that penned “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People.” He built and sold personal computers and programs as a Microsoft Third Party Developer in the late 1970s. As a technical writer, he wrote bar code specifications for the grocery, health, book/magazine, and auto industries, as well as for the military. When telecom deregulation occurred, he left his California partnership in a digital products company whose client list included Disneyland, Sea World, Knots Berry Farm, and Marineland. Joining the telecom revolution, he was one of the first to sell commercially available 800 numbers, internet connections, email services and domain names, private high speed data networks, and other business solutions.
The Executive Resource Group grew out of a desire to meld networking with community service, spawning a group that assisted more than 20 struggling businesses in North Carolina. The group proved there is such a thing as a free lunch. Today, he is a fiduciary, consumer advocate, and elder care proponent dressed in the clothes of a financial advisor appointed with Waddell & Reed. He is registered in six states and is a certified financial wellness coach for businesses and their employees. He is the facilitator of the Bay Area Networking Circle, a board of directors member for Seabrook Rotary Club and for Escuderia Charities, a US Sailing Club Race Officer, the founder and a current member of the League City Regional Chamber of Commerce Legislative Affairs Committee. He is also a member of Bay Area Houston Transportation Partnership, Galveston Bay Cruising Association, Clear Lake Racing, Sailing Angels, Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, and Community Assistance Providers of Clear Lake.
Mr. Maginnis thanks his luck stars to be married to Theresa Maginnis of Mount Airy. Together, they are the parents of three successful men and grandparents to Leila Maginnis.
