The GCFB on site pantry at 624 4th Avenue in Texas City is only allowing two people in the front lobby at a time to check-in or register. Once registered, clients go back outside to a second door to receive prepackaged groceries. At this time, clients are not allowed in the pantry area to select items themselves. At mobile truck distribution sites, where feasible, a drive-thru will be implemented so clients do not get out of their cars. Clients at mobiles also do not have to physically sign to receive services at this  time which limits contact and implement social distancing. GCFB is also working with various entities to add additional mobile truck distribution sites. These additional sites provide easy access to nutritional food, personal hygiene items and cleaning supplies for the economically disadvantaged and underserved residents of Galveston County.
